Biography

• Zhou Qihong is an Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor at the College of Chinese Language and Culture, Sichuan International Studies University, a Jialing Young Scholar, and Director of the Chinese Language Education Research Center. He received his Ph.D. in Education from Peking University in 2022. His primary research areas include artificial intelligence and language teaching, academic Chinese, and Chinese international education. He is a member of the International Association of Chinese Linguistics, the World Chinese Language Teaching Society, and the Chongqing Linguistics Society. He has led one National Social Science Fund project, participated in three national-level projects and five provincial-level projects, and directed one Chongqing Municipal Education Commission Humanities and Social Sciences project and three university-level projects. He has published multiple papers in CSSCI and EI journals such as Contemporary Rhetoric, Applied Linguistics, Teaching Chinese as a Second Language Research, Japanese Language Learning and Research, and Chinese Lexical Semantics. He has developed three software applications and teaches courses including Python Fundamentals and Data Mining, Big Data Technology and Applications, and Language Research Design and Methods. In 2025, his course Python Fundamentals and Data Mining was selected as one of the first batch of "AI+" key construction courses in Chongqing. His developed tool "AI Assistant for International Chinese Language Education Learning" won the "Gold Medal Teaching Tool" award at the 2025 World Chinese Language Conference. In April 2026, he received the Provincial First Prize in the AI Track of the 6th National Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition. He was posted to the Confucius Institute at the University of Botswana from 2009 to 2012. In 2019, he received a scholarship from the Chinese Linguistics Academy. He is a member of the 2nd Youth Editorial Board of the Journal of Guizhou Normal University (Social Sciences Edition).
